Now that the most successful WW18 ever has concluded, we look at what happens after St. Catharines.
Japan marches through
Asians earn promotion after one year in Div. I

The Japanese U18 women’s national team only spent one year in Division I as they win promotion after being relegated the year before.

Snodgrass in overtime
Natalie Snodgrass backhanded a loose puck into the net from the top of the crease at 1:47 of overtime to give Team USA another gold medal at the women's U18s.

Sweden takes bronze
Sweden won WW18 bronze for the fifth time in the nine years of the event, defeating Russia, last year’s third-place finishers, in a thrilling finale.

Canada to face U.S. for gold
Canada played flawless defence and a puck-pursuit game to which Russia had no answer, winning 4-0 and advancing to the gold-medal game to face arch-rivals U.S.

U.S. wins 4-0, going for gold
There were moments when Sweden skated with the Americans, and the goaltending of Ellen Jonsson was superb, but in the end the U.S. was just too strong.

Czechs take 5th
The Czech Republic finished in 5th place today after defeating Finland, 3-1, in the placement game.

Swiss stay up
Switzerland defeated France for the third time in four days, and swept the best-of-three relegation series with a 2-0 win this afternoon.
